Toutes ces photos ont été prises au moyen d'un appareil photo numérique PowerShot A70 de Canon de 3,2 mégapixels. Les insectes ont été photographiés en mode macro (gros plan) à la lumière naturelle, sans aucun accessoire supplémentaire, en tenant souvent l'appareil d'une seule main. La version légèrement améliorée de cet appareil, le PowerShot A75 était disponible, au moment d'écrire ces lignes (novembre 2004), pour moins de 300 $CDN au Canada et pour moins de 200 $US aux Etats-Unis. Le point jaune sur le globe ci-dessous recouvre la région où toutes les photos ont été prises.

All these photos were taken with a 3.2MP Canon PowerShot A70 digital camera. The insects were photographed using the macro mode under natural light, without any accessories, the camera often held with a single hand. The slightly enhanced version of this camera, the Canon PowerShot A75 was available as of this writing (Nov. 2004) for less than CDN$ 300 in Canada, and for less than US$ 200 in the U.S.A. The yellow dot on the globe above covers the area where all the photos were taken.
